Dwayne earned two associates degrees from Central Texas
College in Electronic Technology and Computer Technology and was twice the
recipient of the Outstanding Electronics Graduate award. He also earned a
Bachelors of General Studies Degree from Columbia College with a minor in
Business.
Dwayne spent over 26yrs serving our country as a Soldier in
the United Stated Army and the Louisiana National Guard. Dwayne started out as
an infantryman in the National Guard and became an Intelligence/Electronic
Warfare (IEW) Technician when he enlisted as a full time Soldier. Dwayne
progressed through the enlisted rank of Sergeant First Class and serviced as a
First Sergeant when he was selected to be become a Warrant Officer in 2000. He and
is a retired Chief Warrant Officer Four. Dwayne maintained, serviced, and
repaired numerous Command, Control, Communications, Computer, Intelligence,
Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems and was responsible for
maintaining Signals and Intelligence networks and automated data processing
systems on unclassified, secret and top secret networks world-wide. He served in Desert Shield/Storm, Operation
Iraqi Freedom and Operation New Dawn. He is a graduate of numerous military
schools to include the Warrant
Officer Staff Course and the Advanced Non-Commissioned Officers Course. He received numerous awards which include two Bronze
Stars, and two Meritorious Service Medals. His duty stations included Fort
Devens, MA; Fort Campbell, KY; Camp Hovey, Korea; Fort Hood, TX; Fort Polk, LA;
Fort Huachuca, AZ; Bad Aibling, Germany; Darmstadt, Germany; and Fort Stewart,
GA
In addition to raising our five children Darlene continued
her education and received her Bachelors degree in Business from Columbia College. She home-schooled our children for several years and has worked as a substitute teacher for the past 10years. Darlene volunteered her time and talents whenever possible and twice served as the
Family Support Group leader as well as holding multiple offices within the Military Spouses Association.
